This page summarises the key terms for the Work Defib supply, set-up and monitoring service. Full details are set out in your signed agreement, which you receive when you sign up. If anything on this page differs from your signed agreement, the signed agreement applies.
These terms are provided by Home Defib Ltd, trading as Work Defib ("we", "us"), for business customers ("you"). They apply to every quote we give and every order you place, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Work Defib is a trading name of Home Defib Ltd and is our workplace defibrillator service.
2.These terms are for businesses
Our service is sold to organisations rather than consumers. By ordering you confirm you are acting for a business and have authority to enter this agreement on its behalf. Consumer cancellation rights do not apply.
3.Quotes and orders
- A quote is valid for 15 days and is not an offer capable of acceptance until we confirm your order in writing.
- Quotes are based on the site information you give us. If the site differs materially on the day, we will agree any change with you before proceeding.
- The contract begins when we confirm your order.
4.What the service includes
We offer three options. Outright purchase is supply of the defibrillator only, delivered by post, with no set-up, monitoring or minimum term. Complete Protection (you own the device) and Rental (we own the device) include:
- Supply of the defibrillator specified in your order, and a cabinet where ordered
- Professional set-up of the device, testing, and registration with The Circuit, the national defibrillator network. Set-up does not involve wall fixing or electrical work
- Daily self-check monitoring for as long as your plan runs
- Replacement pads before expiry, and after any use of the device, at no extra charge
- Batteries: included on Rental; on Complete Protection a replacement battery is charged when the device reports one is needed
- Support by phone and email during our normal working hours
What it does not include
- Fitting of cabinets; cabinets are supplied only, and mounted by you or your contractor
- Formal accredited first aid or CPR training
- Repair of damage caused by misuse, vandalism, or anything beyond fair wear and tear. On Rental you are responsible if the device is lost or stolen
- Any guarantee about the outcome of a medical emergency
5.Your responsibilities
- Accurate information — tell us about your site truthfully and keep your contact details current
- Location — keep the device in the agreed spot, unobstructed and accessible
- Power and connectivity — maintain what the device or cabinet needs, where applicable
- Tell us — as soon as reasonably possible if the device is used, moved, damaged or removed
- Act on notifications — respond to what we send you about the device's readiness
6.Term and charges
- Complete Protection and Rental run for a 36-month minimum term, as set out in your order and signed agreement, then continue until cancelled.
- Charges are as set out in your order and are payable monthly in advance.
- Prices exclude VAT, which is charged at the applicable rate.
- We may adjust prices after the minimum term by giving 30 days' written notice.
- If payment is late we may suspend monitoring after notifying you, and charge interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7.Ending the agreement
- Either party may end the agreement at the end of the minimum term by giving 30 days' written notice.
- We may end it immediately if you fail to pay after reminders, or breach these terms materially and do not put it right within 14 days of being asked.
- On ending, monitoring stops. A rented device is collected by us. Full details are set out in your signed agreement.
8.Monitoring: what we do and do not promise
Monitoring means we receive and act on the device's own daily self-check and status reports. We will tell you promptly when something needs attention and arrange the fix. We do not promise that monitoring will detect every possible fault, that reporting will be uninterrupted where it depends on third-party networks, or that a device will be effective in any particular emergency. A defibrillator is one part of your emergency response, not a substitute for calling 999 and starting CPR.
9.Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- Subject to that, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the charges you paid us in that period.
- We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
10.Data protection
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Each party will comply with UK data protection law.
11.General
- This summary, your order and your signed agreement together form the agreement between us; the signed agreement takes precedence.
- We may update these terms for new orders; the version that applies to you is the one in force when we confirmed your order.
- If any clause is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- The agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
